Since some of have graduated while some will be graduating very soon, let’s take a quick look at what we all are going to miss.


1. Making friends every week and some chit-chats with seniors.

First day at the college where you see some new faces and firstly a small formal talk with someone and then you both becomes BFF. Ragging is actually banned but an intro to seniors is very common and a part of the college life.


2. Having a crush on some girls and hot professors.

There would’ve been a dozen of crushes in college if you were a true engineering student. From Girls to professors, they are best heart-killer in college.


3. Copying boring notes and assignments from the topper’s notebook.

I bet you’ve been through this where no one helped ya but the topper guy’s note saved you. This is one of the worst but still the sweetest.


4. Playing games in the hostel and also during lectures.

Every student who feels bored in the hostel room or in lectures they have the backup and its games such as CS or COD.

There were days where we didn’t want to attend lectures. And then we bunked with friends to chill out.

Day before the exam ? Oh shit these nights are scarier than the conjuring because ‘Is me Hum sab ki phat jaati hai’

Trip with your squad is one the best things anyone does. Cause it vanishes away our stress and depression from our mind. And yeah the famous dialogue before the trip ‘Bhai goa chale?’ which apparently never happens!

Many of the Bollywood movies are based on real-life stories, and the ones depicting the college life are one amongst them. Movies like 3 Idiots were a huge hit at the box office and to make the film look genuine, the makers of the film decided to shoot in real college campuses.

Here’s are eight colleges campuses which became famous after Bollywood movies were shot in them.

Raanjhana -IIMC, New Delhi

This popular movie starring Sonam Kapoor, Dhanush and Abhay Deol was shot at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication in New Delhi. In the film, it is shown as JNU as IIMC is inside the JNU campus.

2 States-IIM Ahmedabad

The movie which is based on a book written by Chetan Bhagat which depicts the love story of two management students from North and South was shot in the same college, i.e. IIM Ahmedabad.

3 Idiots- IIM Bangalore

The movie which revolves around the life of three engineering students who were studying at Imperial College of Engineering was shot at Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore

Bodyguard – Symbiosis, Pune

The film starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor was shot at the Symbiosis campus, and the scenic beauty of the college campus played a prominent role in making the film a huge hit among the masses.

Rockstar – St Stephen’s College, New Delhi

The film directed by Imtiaz Ali was shot at Delhi University premium college St Stephen’s. The movie also depicts the infamous rivalry between the Hindu college and St Stephen’s college.

Student of The Year – Forest Research Institute, Dehradun

2 Students From KIIT International School Bag Dr A P J Abdul Kalam IGNITE Awards



Two students from city based KIIT International School were selected to receive the prestigious Dr A P J Abdul Kalam IGNITE Awards this year, as announced by National Innovation Foundation, Govt. of India on the occasion of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam’s birth anniversary on October 15.

Anshuman Nayak of Grade III and Subhra Suchismita Patel of Grade XII have been selected to receive this award for their respective scientific innovations.

IGNITE awards

Anshuman created a smart car that would stop if its driver violated the traffic rules. Subhra, who will receive the award for the second time, designed an intelligent rag sorting and picking machine. In 2016, she was a winner for her idea of farmer shoes that could plant seeds.

The competition invites unaided ideas for a better country and national development; promotes innovations among children. Out of a total national entry of over 55,000 project ideas that covered every district of India, only 29 project ideas are being awarded after a six stage selection process.

Besides the KIIT School Sudents, four other students from Odisha were also nominated to receive this annual award.

KIIT and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) founder Dr. Achyuta Samanta congratulated the young scientists for their extraordinary achievements and wished them best in their future endeavours.
